Margaret Ann Lampo Wells, 64, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 30, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the funeral home.
Born March 6, 1954 in Bryan, she was the daughter of John B. and Janie (Vacante) Lampo. She grew up in Bryan and was a 1972 graduate of Bryan High School. On August 7, 1986, Margaret was united in marriage to George William Wells. For 25 years, she was employed at Johnson Cleaners in Hillsboro. Attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s sporting events and just being with family is what Margaret loved most in life. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, watching old TV shows, and gardening. She attended Church On the Hill in Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, George William Wells of Hillsboro; four children, Theresa Pelham of Arlington, William H. Warren, III, of Cleburne, John J. Warren and wife, Linda, of Whitney, and Jeremy S. Warren of Waco; two sisters, Lucille Deal and husband, John E., of Madisonville and Diana Allphin and husband, Neal, of Bryan; ten grandchildren, Destini, Haleigh and husband, Jacob Deal, Noah, Emma, J. J., Heaven, Sean, Cason, Jeremy, Jr., and Lily; two great-grandchildren, Gracie and Tinzleigh; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives; and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made by check only to any Wells Fargo Bank in the name of Lucille Deal for Margaret Wells burial expense.
