Margrete Rich

Margrete Estes Rich, 72, of Morgan passed away on March 30, 2011.

Services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Marshall ad Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with interment to follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro. Visitatiion will be from 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Margrete was born on August 6, 1938 in Thalia; the daughter of the late O. C. and Lena (Bond) Hammonds. She married Benny Lee Rich in Canadian on April 3, 1981 and he preceded her in death on December 21, 2001.

She had lived in Perryton most of her life before moving to Lakeside Village in 1989. Margrete was a homemaker and enjoyed cleaning house and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church in Whitney.

Survivors include her children, Holly Miranda of Morgan, Michelle Jackson and husband Jamie of McKinney; brothers, Bobby Hammonds and wife Joy of Dublin, Lonnie Hammonds and wife Melinda of Hico; sisters, Clementine Mays of Midwest City, OK, Marie Brock of Anaheim, CA, Glenda Walker of Caldwell, Janell Farmer and husband Norman of Newalla, OK; grandchildren, Ashley Holley and husband Brad of Plano, Josh Jackson of McKinney and Lindsey Miranda of Morgan.
