Marguerite Hunt

Marguerite Beth Hunt passed away in Hillsboro on June 29, 2007. She grew up in Hillsboro. She and Jerry Hunt met and were married 10 days later, just before he entered the Air Force and they remained married for 63 years. The couple lived in Hillsboro and Longview before moving to Paris in the late 1950's. They later moved to Greenville where they managed House Jewelry. In the summer of 1969, they moved to Houston until returning to Hillsboro in the early 1980's upon their semi-retirement. In their younger days, Marguerite and Jerry were avid and accomplished square dancers and swing dancers. They also enjoyed participating in their bridge and dinner club. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ola Wooten and stepfather, L. L. Wooten, Sr.; husband, Jerry Hunt on Dec. 7, 2006 and brother, Bill Schmidt of Tampa FL. Survivors include her sons, Alan Hunt and wife, Cindy of Plano, Barry Hunt and wife, Diane of Houston; grandson, Kyle Hunt and wife, Rachel of Austin and great granddaughter, Harper Hunt of Austin.
