Maria Gomez

Maria Inez Gomez, 56, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Father Ouseph Thekkumthala of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to service time. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Born on December 25, 1960 in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico, Maria was the daughter of Guadalupe and Felilicitas Valdivia Casillas. She grew up in Mexico, graduated from Santa Monica High School in 1980, and received an Associates of Arts degree from Santa Monica College in 1987. On March 29, 1991, Maria was united in marriage to Nasario Gomez. The couple moved from California to Plano and later to Hillsboro. From September 18, 1998 to the present, she worked at Town Hall Estates in Hillsboro as a CNA. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling and seeing different places. She was of the Catholic faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Manuel Valdivia.

Survivors include her husband, Nasario Gomez; three children, Selena Gomez, Stephany Gomez, and Steven Valdivia; and five brothers, Guadalupe Valdivia Casillas, Javier Valdivia, Armando Valdivia, Cesar Valdivia, and Elias Valdivia.
