Marian Bailey

Marian Lykins Bailey, 86, of Mansfield passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14, 2016, in Mansfield. Graveside services will be held at Noon on Saturday, August 20, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro with Father Tom Hightower officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to service time at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Marian was born to Mr. and Mrs. Marion Lykins on March 8, 1930 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was married to her true love Sidney Wayne Bailey of Aquilla on September 25, 1948. A proud housewife and mother, Marian relished in taking care of her family. Marian was most happy when she had a houseful of family and friends for a special occasion.

Preceding her in death were her parents; Marion and Lola Lykins; sister, Gayle Lykins Norcross; the love of her life for 64 years, Sidney Bailey; and other family members.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Bailey and wife, Beth, of Mansfield and Mark Bailey and wife, Denice, of Fort Worth; daughter, Judy Brown and husband, Preston, of Pearland; seven grandchildren, Rachel Fosdick, Laura Krajca, Kohle Bailey, Nick Bailey, Bridget Bailey, Zachery Bailey, and Conner Bailey; brother, Forrest J. “Lucky” Lykins of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
