Marian Elizabeth Horn, 96, of Hillsboro died Thursday, August 17, 2006, at Hill Regional Hosptial. Marian was born December 13, 1909 in Vaughan, Texas the daughter of Lafayette Franklin and Florence Bell Johnson Shoemaker. For 20 years she lived in Vaughan then moved to Hillsboro. She received her AB Degree from Baylor. In 1960 she married Fred B. Horn and he preceded her in death on April 21, 1988. Marian?s favorite childhood memory was being a member of First Baptist Church in Hillsboro, where she was still a member, and attending church conventions with family. She was very well known in Hillsboro for playing the piano and being a music teacher. Also preceding her in death were her parents; a special daughter-in-law, Louella Horn; two other daughters-in-law, Wayde Adkins, and Betty Crump; and two infant brothers. Survivors include her step-children, Fred L. Horn and wife, Louise, of Waco, James Horn and wife, Lynn, of Nevada, and Jo Ellen Fussell of Cleburne; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
