Marie Pattison

Marie Pattison, 87, of Hillsboro passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Memorial graveside services will be held at 1:15 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2012, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas with Chaplain James Clinkscales officiating.

Marie was born February 26, 1924 in Mason, OK the daughter of Zed and Grace (Fox) Wilson. At a young age, her family moved to Santa Rosa where she grew up. She later moved to Harlingen where she met her husband Pat Pattison and they were married on August 27, 1944. For a number of years, the couple lived in many places during his military service. They eventually settled in Maryland, where she worked for the Government Printing Office. After their retirement, they returned to Texas and settled in Hillsboro. She was a member of the Covenant Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband on June 18, 2008; four sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include her five children, Allan K. Pattison, III and Cherryl E. Pattison both of Hillsboro, Katherine L. Pattison of Waco, Frank W. Pattison and wife, Sandra, of McKinney, and Deborah S. Hess and husband, Lee, of Hillsboro; two sisters, Ruth Haugh and Nina Elliott both of Trophy Club; seven grandchildren, Christina Hess, R. C. Hawes, Elizabeth Hawes, Jennifer Hess, Victoria Pattison, Rebekah Pattison, and Allan Pattison; and a number of nieces and nephews.
