Marie Cypert Reddell, 92, of Hillsboro died Sunday, January 20, 2008, at Providence Health Care Center in Waco. Marie was born February 26, 1915 in Hillsboro, Texas the daughter of Ralph and Maude Daniel Cypert. After graduating from Hillsboro High School, she moved to Baytown to live with her sister for a couple of years until she married. In 1942 she married Archie Clifton Reddell and they moved to Richland, Washington. Following retirement, they moved back to Hillsboro in 1963. For a number of years she was active in the Union Bluff community center. Marie made beautiful hand stitched quilts and made sure that all of her family had one. She also enjoyed gardening and had a love of animals. She was a member of Central Christian Church and the Quilt Club in Hillsboro and was active in the Eastern Star in Washington. Also preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Pauline Carlton and Edith Hill; brother, Bud Cypert; and a step-son, William S. Reddell. Survivors include two step-children, Betty M. Davis and husband, Carroll, of Kennewick, Washington and Lou Ann Flores and husband, Carlos, of Tampico, Mexico; a step-daughter-in-law, Irma Reddell of Cleveland, TX; nine step-grandchildren; fourteen step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Carolyn H. Selensky and husband, Fred, of Oklahoma City, OK; a number of nephews including Donald Edward Reddell and wife, Frances, of Deer Park; and a number of great-nieces and nephews including Rhett and Kathleen Reddell of Hillsboro. Memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church, 100 Craig Street, Hillsboro, TX 76645.
