Marie Toole

Marie Toole, 88, of Kopperl, passed away on October 18, 2016, in Cleburne. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Whitney Memorial Park under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 7-9 PM, Friday at the funeral home.

Marie was born on December 3, 1927, in Bishop, to Paul and Eunice (McGuire) Simcik. She moved first to Petranila, TX, then to Itasca and finally to Aquilla where she graduated from high school.

On February 10, 1949, she married Charlie Toole in Waco and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1992.

She lived in Fort Worth for several years where she worked for Beverage Packaging as a bookkeeper before retiring to Kopperl.

Preceding her in death were her parents; an infant daughter on Sept. 1, 1966; two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her children, Charles Michael Toole and partner Donald Terrell of Fort Worth, Jimmy Ray Toole of Kopperl and Teresa Lewis and husband, Rick of Cresson; grandchildren, Lacey McGowan and husband, Mike of Granbury, Rikki Lewis of Fort Worth, Michael Wood and wife, Lisa of Louisiana and Christi Goelz of Wyoming; 7 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Katy Smith of Edna.
