Marion P. Ducie Cauble, 93, of Hillsboro died Friday, Novmeber 13, 2009, at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Ducie was born on September 30, 1916 in Hill County; the daughter of Samuel and Mellie Bridges May. She grew up in Vaughan and graduated from Aquilla High School where she was State Tennis Champion for Aquilla and she played on several State Basketball Championship teams and also played Tennis at Hill Junior College. In 1938, Ducie married Clayton Cauble and he preceded her in death on May 15, 1973. She worked for Dr. Nellins Smith for 27 years and was an avid bowler. She was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Spencer Phillips and Estelle Lake and brother, Cecil May. Survivors: daughter, Nancy Irving and husband, John of Hillsboro; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Boortz of Austin, Karlen Sedia of Austin, David Irving of Midland; 3 great grandchildren, Courtney Gross of Austin, Haley Gross of Austin, John David Irving of Midland, numerous nieces and nephews.
