Marion Prentice

Marion Prentice, 75, of San Antonio, Texas passed away Friday evening, May 19, 2017, in Allen Texas. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017, at Peoria Cemetery with Rev. John Nader of the First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-12:00 a.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors.

Marion was delivered by her uncle, Dr. Clifford Bassett on her mother's birthday, on August 5, 1941, in Cushing, Oklahoma to Howard and Lorraine (Shipley) Bassett. She lived and attended school in Wichita Falls, Texas and married her high school sweetheart, James H. Prentice after graduation. She attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. Preceding her in death was her husband, James Prentice on July 16,1997.

Survivors included her two sons, James Prentice and wife, Seena of Alexandria,La. and Darren Prentice and wife, Sharon of Allen; sister Jennie Atkins of Beaumont and grandchildren,Jordan Honesto and Clint Prentice.
