Marrion Lewis Baker, 80, of Buffalo passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011, in a Dallas hospital. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Heath Cemetery near Whitney with Mr. Bruce Martin officiating.
Marrion was born August 13, 1930 in Blum, the son of Homer Preston and Bertha Mae (Doty) Baker. For 23 years he was a police officer for the Dallas Police Department, retiring in 1977. He enjoyed farming and raising cattle. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Floyd Baker and Homer Baker.
Survivors include his two sons, Ray Baker and wife, Mary Alice, and Roy Baker; the mother of his sons, Melba Ray Baker; two brothers, David and Douglas Baker; two sisters, Dorothy Chambers and Betty Godwin; and three grandchildren, Rachel, Taylor, and Cheyenea Baker.
