Marshall Boyd

Marshall Wayne Boyd, 63 of Whitney passed away on February 12, 2011.

Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Whitney Memorial Park with Rev. Cliff Troyer officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.

Marshall was born on October 17, 1947 in Whitney, Texas. He was the son of William Otis and Dolores Elizabeth (Moore) Boyd.

Marshall was a giving man, loving father, grandfather, brother and son. He was a faithful Christian man who loved his church and enjoyed singing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He was a avid dancer and a big fan of Elvis Presley and Marilyn Monroe.

He had worked in oil well maintenance and had served in the United States Army.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Otis Boyd on June 8, 1997 and sister, Darlene Boyd on February 7, 1980.

Survivors include his mother, Dolores Boyd of Escondido, CA; children, Lisa Marie of Whitney, Kevin Adams of Houston, Gaylene Boyd of Clovis, CA; Tammy Bishop of Tuscon, AZ; Janet Darling of Fowler, CA; brother, Randy Boyd of Whitney, sister, Linda Mack of Escondido, CA; grandchildren, Seaira, Justine, Jimmy, Colby, Danielle, Nathan, Samantha, Kristen, Chevy and great grandchild, Tirion.
