Martha Haynes

Martha was the daughter of Earl Q. and Ethel Greenwade McMahan. She was a bookkeeper in the Medical Records for the Whitney Hospital, retiring in 1991. Martha was an avid reader and marvelous seamstress. On May 23, 1986, she married M. C. Haynes and he preceded her in death on July 19, 1992. Martha was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #8571. Also preceding her in death were her sons, Michael Owen on November 30, 2000 and Alfred Owen on April 24, 2006; 4 brothers; 3 sisters; granddaughter, Audrie Talamantez and great grandson, Colton Roy. Survivors include: daughter, Patty Talamantez and husband, Simon of Plano; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchldren. Memorials may be made to Park Plaza Nursing Home, P.O. Box 457, Whitney, TX 76692.
