Martha Ray

Martha Ray, 61, of Burleson, passed away on July 9, 2015, at a Fort Worth hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 13, 2015, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Brother Lamar Black officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney.

Martha was born on February 22, 1954, the daughter of J.F. and Ela Mae (Cunningham) Ward. An avid elephant collector, she also enjoyed traveling and taking trips. She loved all animals.
Taking care of little ones was a favorite pastime, especially taking care of her grandchildren. Martha was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Elton Ward.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Lueth of Burleson; daughter, Shirley Chappell and spouse, Joe of Burleson, four grandchildren, Eddie Todd, Brittany Todd, Heather Wilson and Brian Garrett, April Wilson and husband, Blake Pradarits; a step-granddaughter, Shelby Chappell; a great-granddaughter, Layla Wilson; brothers, James Ward and spouse, Janet of Everman and Thomas Ward and spouse, Kay, of Burleson; and a sister, Carolyn Gee of Weatherford.
