Marva Horton

Marva C. Horton, 69, of Blum passed away at her residence on December 2, 2006. Marva was the daughter of John Frances and Josephine Masters McDougall. As a young child, she grew up in Falfurrias, Texas and lived there for a number of years. She married J.D. Horton in 1970 and they moved to Whitney in 1986.The couple owned and operated J.D. Horton, Inc., a construction company. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, was one of her greatest pleasures. She also enjoyed fishing in her leisure time. Preceding her in death were her parents, 1 brother and 1 sister. Survivors include her husband, J.D. Horton of Whitney; four children, Susan Puckett of Lubbock, Dennis Whaley of Lubbock, Debbie Kinard of Whitney, Tanya Aston of Robinson; three grand-children, Jennifer Beltran of Waco, Chris Beltran of Virginia, Jimmy Beltran of San Marcos and ten great-grandchildren.
