Marvin Mason, 75 of Whitney went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2012.
Services will be held Friday, May 25, 2012 at 10 a.m.at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney with Rev. Gerald Dudley officiating. Interment will follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, Texas at 3 p.m. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m, Thursday, May 24 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.
Marvin was born on November 11, 1936 in Fresno, California to Marvin and Ruby (Coffer) Mason. He grew up in California. On July 25, 1960, he married Vivian Duncan. Marvin worked as a mechanic for the Airline Industry. They lived in Whitney part time until his retirement in 2004. He loved to fish and work with horses and was a member of Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney.
Preceding him in death were his parents and sister, Geta.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Vivian; sons, Terry Mason and wife, Susie of San Antonio, Tony Mason and wife, Christy of Keller; granddaughter, Sabrina Mason; grandson, Cody Mason and future granddaughter, Daphnie; a very special great grandson,
Jaiden; sisters, Terry Richardson of Florence, OR., Margaret Birch of Los Angeles, California, Barbara Chapman of Hillsboro and lots of nieces and nephews.
