Marvin Neil, Jr., 77, of Grand Prairie passed away Friday, June 29, 2007, in Waxahachie after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Marvin was born July 30, 1929 in Hillsboro to Marvin and Dorothy Grant Neil. He graduated from Hillsboro High School and attended Hillsboro Jr. College in Hillsboro before living in Grand Prairie for many years. Marivn was employed by LTV and eventually Lockheed Martin for 45 1/2 years and retired in 1997. His last 15 years of employment were spent with Lockheed Martin working as a quality engineer with the space shuttle program. Marvin was an avid lover of horse racing and the Dallas Cowboys. Survivors include a son, Danny Neil and wife, Johnia, of Ennis; daughter, Charlotte Neil Wilson and husband, Jerry, of Avalon; 3 grandsons, Jeremy Neil Wilson and wife, Traci, of Midlothian, Jarod Neil and wife, Tammi, of Ennis, and Justin Wayne Wilson of Ennis; 1 granddaughter, Nisa Redd and husband, Ricky, of Waxahachie; 4 great-grandchildren, Addyson and Cayden Redd and Reagan and Lexi Wilson; sister, Dorothy Ann Waldie and husband, Crawford, of Joshua; 2 nephews, Rod and Mike Waldie of Fort Worth; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
