Marvin C. Richardson, 90, of Morgan, passed away on November 24, 2017, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney with Pastor Greg Johnson, First Church of the Nazarene, officiating.
Marvin was born on December 15, 1926, in the Yates Community of Hill County, to Johnny and Lilly (Dunn) Richardson. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He lived in Arizona for many years before moving back to Hill County. He was an ordained Pentecostal minister in Miracle Valley. While a minister, he started his own dry wall and plastering business.
Marvin was an avid fisherman, and he also enjoyed hunting, especially in his early years.
In 2002, he married Fredericka Jane Taylor in Hillsboro.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and siblings, Lois Aulds, Maggie Hambrick, Johnny Richardson, Nell Odom, and Jimmy Richardson.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Richardson of Morgan; son, Paul Richardson of AZ; step-son, Allen Dills and wife, Beverly, of Whitney; and siblings, Lessie Nickolson, G.W. “Dub” Richardson and wife, Wanda, Jackie Johnson, Bobby Richardson, and Joyce Coats; many grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
