Mary Jane Clark 91, of Whitney, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Whitney. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Officiating will be Dr. Gerald Dudley of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday May 31, 2013, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney.
Mary was born July 11, 1921, in Waco to James Edward and Fannie M. (Hunt)Oldham. She and her first husband, Warren Jeanes, owned and operated the Quickie Food Store for 30 years and the Hogan Lane Grocery for 35 years, both in Bellmead. Mary was very much a people person. An avid Dallas Cowboys fan, she especially enjoyed reading westerns and romance novels and attending horse shows with her daughter, Kathryn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bellmead.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and husbands, Warren D. Jeanes and Lester Clark; five brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include her children, Mary Alice Hamilton and husband, Van, of Whitney and Kathryn Jeanes of Whitney; grandchildren, Shawn Robert and wife, Kesha, of Victoria, Angie Albright and husband, Danny of Whitney, Wayne Taylor of Belton, Sierra Shaw of West; twelve great- grandchildren, including Alexis Whipkey, and several nieces and nephews.
