Mary Deen

Mary Deen, 72, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. There are no services scheduled at this time. Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro are in charge of arrangements.

Mary was born July 30, 1941 in east St. Louis, Illinois, where she grew up, to Walter and Edna (Ramphenthal) Cooper. On September 27, 1958, she married Charles Deen. The couple owned and operated several businesses together during their marriage. Mary liked to sew and spend time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Deen of Hillsboro; two daughters, Patricia Gustafson of Josephine and Donna Stephens and husband, Greg, of Grand Prairie; brother, Walter Cooper, Jr. of Illinois; sister, Shirley Hamilton of Illinois; three grandchildren, Candice Forrester, James Drewek, and Kortney Gustafson; and two great-grandchildren, Christian Forrester and Madyson Forrester.
