Mary Farquhar

Mary Janet Bond Noble Farquhar, 86, of Hillsboro went to be with her Savior on Saturday, June 17, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Peoria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mary Janet was born January 3, 1931 in Arcadia, Louisiana, the daughter of Dewie Dawson Pointer and Lora Elizabeth Wilcox but resided in Hillsboro for many years. Mary Janet grew up in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She raised her family in Dallas, retired from Frito Lay, and then moved to Hillsboro for the remainder of her life. She loved Jesus and lived her life with a generous spirit and giving heart. Mary Janet is now rejoicing on the streets of gold! Hallelujah!

She was preceded in death by sons, Larrie and John Bond; previous husbands, William “Bill” Bond, Ray Noble, and Troy Farquhar; her parents; brothers, Jimmy and Joe Pointer; and sister, Jean McGarity.

Survivors include her brother, H D Pointer of Pine Bluff, AR; daughters, Billie Gant and Tonnie Bond, both of Hillsboro; son, Steven Bond of McKinney; granddaughters, Nesha Mayes, Samantha Bond, and Mackenzie Bond; grandsons, Jason Bond and Justin Bond; great-grandchildren, Kayen, Troy, and Tilly Bond. Mary Janet was blessed with many nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends who look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
