Mary Faye (Bankston) White

Mary Faye White, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 15,2024.

Mary was born on August 18, 1936, in Honey Grove, Texas, to Earl and Katherine. She married the love of her life, Billy White, on November 5, 1954, and they were blessed with their daughter, Terry in October 1959.  Mary was a kind-hearted soul who cherished spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for quilting, baking sweets, and spreading joy wherever she went. Mary had a warm and welcoming nature, never failing to make everyone feel like family. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and was an active member of St. Phillips Methodist Church in Garland, TX.

Mary is survived by her daughter Terry and husband Terry G; grandchildren, Darrell and wife Deana, Amy, Mandi, Derek and wife Becka; great-grandchildren, Coltyn, Savanah, baby Callaway, Isaiah, and Seth; sister, Wanda and husband Clyde; brother, Donald and wife Judy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary is preceded in death by her beloved husband Billy; brother, Billy; twin brother, Fred Ray; sister, Margaret; and her parents, Earl and Katherine.

Mary's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Country Club Retirement Community, where Mary lived for the past eight years. Contributions can be sent to 4773 FM 933, Whitney, TX 76692.
