Mary Kuykendall

Mary Anne Kuykendall, 73, of Waxahachie passed away Monday, February 18, 2013, in a Dallas hospital. Graveside services will be held at Noon on Thursday, February 21, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 A.M. Thursday prior to service time at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Mary Anne was born January 27, 1940 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Wilson and Nettie (Nails) McCorkle. She grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Abilene as a young woman. In 1968, she moved to Dallas.

On April 29, 1983, she married Wayne Kuykendall in Waxahachie. Mary Anne enjoyed working in her garden and watching hummingbirds. She also loved to watch baseball, especially the Texas Rangers.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, and seven sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Wayne Kuykendall of Waxahachie; three children, Donald Tooman of Rockwall, and Cynthia Tooman and husband, Harlan Batson, and Lenny Tooman all of Waxahachie; two step-children, Randall Kuykendall and wife, Sherry, of Glen Rose and Kelley Davis of Flower Mound; two sisters, Wilma Smith of Benjamin and Ruby Sterling of Denison; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
