Mary Mason

Mary Mason of Hillsboro, age 57, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital in Dallas. She was surrounded by her beloved family as she went to be with the Lord. Family, friends and others whose lives Mary touched are invited to a memorial service at Fort Graham Baptist Church, 137 FM 2604, Whitney, TX 76692 on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 2:00 p.m.

Mary was born February 27, 1961, in Cleburne to Matias “Mike” and Oralia (Rodriguez) Martinez. She was a 1979 graduate of Midlothian High School. She was united in marriage to Greg Mason in June 2002 and was a member of the Fort Graham Baptist Church of Whitney. Mary truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death were her two sisters, Mary Alice Martinez and Martha Flynn.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Mason of Hillsboro; parents, Matias “Mike” and Oralia Martinez of Midlothian; children, Amanda Huerta and husband, David of Midlothian, Rachel Ortega of Midlothian, and Gregory Mason Jr.; brother and sisters, Mike Martinez of Ovilla, Margaret Ellenwood and husband, Kenny of Kerrville, Minerva Silva and husband, Jeff of Mansfield, Melinda Alcorn and husband, Matt of Midlothian, Melissa Hargrove and husband, Russell of Midlothian, and Melva Jones and husband, Mike of Midlothian; grandchildren, David Huerta, Anthony Delarosa, Maximo Huerta, Nicolas Huerta, Ruby Ortega, Isabella Huerta, and Elijah Mason; mother-in-law, Teresa Mason of Hillsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
