Mary Mcmillin

Mary Jane McMillin, 80, of Whitney, passed away on June 9, 2016. A visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney. The family will hold a memorial service at White Bluff Chapel at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, June 13, 2016, with Pastor Terry Cosby officiating.

Mary Jane was born on March 27, 1936, to Reuben Headlee and Amelia (Hansen) Rogers. On August 11, 1990, she married Thomas McMillin in Clyde, Tx. An elementary school teacher who was dearly loved by all of her students, she had a teaching career of 30 years with the last 14 years in Clyde.

Preceding her death were her parents; daughter, Stephanie Shepard; and brother-in-law, Paul Peck.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas McMillin; children, Brent Wolfe and wife Susan, of Grapevine and Amy Velderman and husband, Steve of Allen; step-daughter, Kelena Walker and husband, Doug of Montgomery; and step-son, Thomas McMillin, Jr., and wife (Jenny) of Pearland; grandchildren, Lauren and Alexis Wolfe and Alexander Velderman; step-grandchildren, Kristen and Michael Wright, Cammi Walker, Damon Walker, Avery McMillin and Rylan McMillin; sister, Dorthea Peck of Oklahoma City, OK; and niece Paula Schopflin, of Oklahoma City, OK, and nephew, Roger Peck of Hobart, Oklahoma.
