Mary Grace (Woodall) Mills

Mary Grace Mills (Woodall) of Aquilla, Tx. passed away peacefully Saturday October 23, 2021, she was 85 years old. She will be cremated, and her ashes will be then placed in interment at the family plot at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville, Illinois. The family will be holding a private Celebration of her Life.

Mary Grace Woodall was born on June 20, 1936, in Shreveport, La. To Millard L. (Doc) Woodall and Gwindolyn (Donnie) Holt Woodall. She graduated from Axtell High School, Axtell, Tx. Mary married Ross Edward Mills of Taylorville, Illinois on October 5, 1952, in Mart, Texas. They then resided in Bryan, Tx. while her husband finished his service in the Army Air Force, they then made their residence in Taylorville, Illinois where they were members of the Free Methodist Church. In 1975 they moved back to Texas and made their home in Aquilla, Tx.

Mary received her Licensed Practical Nurse Training at St. Vincent Memorial hospital in Taylorville, Illinois. After moving back to Texas, she then graduated from McLennan Community College in Waco, Tx. with her degree and as a Registered Nurse. Mary retired from her Nursing career in 1985 from Grant - Buie Hospital in Hillsboro, Tx.

Mary was an avid reader and had a love for knowledge, she enjoyed her music, puzzles, card games but her biggest love of all was spending time, laughs and hugs with her precious grandchildren and great grandchildren she had such a special bond with all of them.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ross E. Mills; and sons, Michael Ross Mills and David Lee Mills; sister, Mary Ellen Nickels; father, Millard L. Woodall; mother, Gwendolyn Woodall (Holt).

Mary is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Dean Wade of Aquilla, Tx. And Lisa and Brian Roberts of Aquilla, Tx.; grandchildren, Christopher L. Mills Sr. of Taylorville, Il., Jimmy Wade Sr. and wife Jaimie of Aquilla Tx., Colleen Acker and Husband Michael of Mertens, Tx., Shawn Mills of Taylorville, Il., Michael Wade and wife Cecelia of Aquilla, Tx., Brandon Roberts and wife Kimberly of Aquilla, Tx., Shawna Roberts Smith of Snyder, Tx., Keaton Wade of Aquilla, Tx.; and several great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, Mary Grace Mills (Woodall).
