Maryjane Moore, 74, of Whitney, passed away on January 13, 2014, at her home. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
Maryjane was born on February 16, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Iver and Alberta (Dudley) Palmgren. Growing up in North Carolina, Mary Jane graduated from Rocky Mount High School there. Before moving to Texas in 1977, she lived in Smyrna, Georgia. On August 13, 1993, she married Gene Moore in Whitney. She colored posters and was an avid reader. As a member of AA, she had 36 years and 9 months of sobriety.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kelly; brother, Lt. Col. Edwin Palmgren, USAF - MIA 1968 in Vietnam and older brother, Ham Palmgren.
She is survived by her husband, Gene Moore, of Whitney; sons, David Kunde of York, South Carolina and Scott Kunde of Woodstock, Georgia; grandchildren Nathanael, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Keleigh, and Sarah Kunde; and step-children, Robert Moore and family of Whitney, Brian Moore and family of Dublin, California, and Laura Johnson and family of Sonora, California.
