Mary Ann Reed, 72, of Hillsboro passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 in Mesa, Arizona. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Ouseph I. Thekkumthala officiating.

Mary Ann was born December 11, 1940 in Norfolk, Virginia, where she grew up, to Roland and Rita (Whalen) Seiberlich. On February 10, 1962, she married Bill Reed in Norfolk.

She enjoyed painting and art. Mary Ann and Bill especially loved traveling together and had visited every state and Canadian Province. The couple also enjoyed taking cruises. For their 50th anniversary this past year, they took a transatlantic and European river cruise, before returning on the Queen Mary. Members of the Airstream Club, Mary Ann and Bill had been residence of the North Texas Airstream Community in Hillsboro for the past 20 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Roland Seiberlich.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Reed of Hillsboro; three daughters, Teri Reed Davis and husband, Ken, of McKinney, Barb Reed Truesdell and husband, Rod, of Weaverville, North Carolina, and Jackie Reed and Thomas Schwartz of Lewisville; seven grandchildren, Alex Kleinschmidt, Joseph Davis, Libby Davis, Caroline Davis, Hannah Truesdell, Emily Truesdell, and Patrick Truesdell; nephew, Brad Seiberlich of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and their dog and traveling companion, Daisy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 841125, Dallas, TX 75284-1125.
