Mary G. Rejcek, 97, of Hillsboro passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Ouseph Thekkumthala officiating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery near Abbott. Rosary will be recided starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 29, followed by visitation until 9 p.m. at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Mary was born March 15, 1914 in West the youngest of eleven children to Paul and Rosie (Barton) Grones. She lived in Hill and Navarro counties all of her life. On November 4, 1935 she married V. P. Rejcek in West and he preceded her in death on March 6, 1979. She loved cooking, gardening, quilting, and being with her family. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro, KJZT, and Catholic Daughters of America Court #2143.
Also preceding her in death were her parents and ten brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, L. J. Rejcek and wife, Lillie, of Burleson, Mildred Acrey of Lubbock, Leona Peterson and husband, John, of Duncanville, and Harry Rejcek and wife, Trudy, of Corsicana; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
