Mary Rogers

Mary Rogers, 73, of Whitney, passed away on December 17, 2017 at a Waco hospital. A graveside service, under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Coker Cemetery near Bulcher, Texas. A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mary was born on August 17, 1944 in Illinois Bend, Texas, to Richard and Margaret (Blassingame) Hudson and grew up in the Illinois Bend area, graduating high school there.
She lived in Canyon until 1985 when she moved to Whitney. On December 25, 1962, she married Robert Rogers and he preceded her in death on June 20, 2008.

She worked in retail at Dilliards and Woolco prior to working 20 years at Sears. Shopping, going on cruises, and traveling were her favorite pastimes. She was a member of Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney.

A sister, Betty Holloway, preceded her in death.

Survivors include children, Randy Rogers and fiancée, Sheila of Watauga and Richard Rogers and wife, Patricia of Hewitt; grandchildren, Brandin, Marshall, Devin, Shannon, Ashley and Aaron; brothers, Lloyd Hudson, Billy Ray Hudson, Harold Hudson, Ronald Hudson; and sisters, Patsy Hudson and Barbara Sims.
