Mary Sherman

Mary Alice Sherman, 94, of Whitney, passed away on March 20, 2017 at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at Hillcrest Garden of Memory near Hillsboro, under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors, with Jerry Goff officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mary Alice was born on October 18, 1922, in Coleman, Texas, to Roy and Mary Loraine (Dryer) Evans. On June 14, 1942, she married Earl D. Sherman at her in-laws ranch in Brady, Texas.

She was a doctor's assistant, a life long member of the PTA of Arlington and of the Home Economics of Coleman.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; daughter, Linda Kay Sherman McDonald; brother, Rusty Evans; and sisters, Civilla Williams and Mildred Redford.
