Mary Underwood

Mary B. Underwod, 84, of Whitney passed away on February 8, 2006 at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney. She was the daughter of Robert G. and Lillie Estelle Riddle Braziel. On September 5, 1942, she married J. S. Underwood in the Reverend F. E. Waller residence. Mary was employed by Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney from 1970 until 1984. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church in Whitney. Preceding her in death were her parents; 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include her husband, J. S. Underwood of Whitney; children, James Robert Underwood and wife, Frances Gayle of Iowa Park, Linda Dian Ward of Houston, Donald Ray Underwood of Corsicana; brother, Leon Braziel and wife, Jesse of Granbury; sister, Frances Froloff of Whitney; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
