Mary Ward

Mary Ward, 70, of Hearne, formerly of Hillsboro, died, Sunday, October 21, 2007, at her residence. Mary was born December 23, 1936 in Hillsboro, Texas, where she lived most of her life, the daughter of Claude and Bessie Sheffield Thomas. About 20 years ago, she moved to Hearne where she worked as an apartment manager. Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Delbert and Virgil Thomas; two sisters, Juanita Daughtry and Louise Moore; one grandson; and three great-grandchildren. Survivors include three children, Thelma Salgado of Hearne, Richard Ward of Hillsboro, and Jimmy Ward of Hearne; two brothers, Donald Ray Thomas of Rendon and Billy Joe Thomas of Hillsboro; a sister, Betty Burton of Arlington; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
