Matt Middlebrook

Matt Middlebrook, 34, of Whitney passed away Monday, July 18, 2011, in Waco. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church near Whitney with Rev. Wade Yarbro officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney.

Matt was born March 13, 1977 in Whitney, where he was raised and lived most of his life. He was a real people person and enjoyed working at Best Pest Control for many years. Most recently he worked as a lineman which he also thoroughly enjoyed. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was at his happiest spending time with his sons. He loved to airboat on the river. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, James and Lillie Middlebrook, Ernest Price, and Johnnie Campbell.

Survivors include his father, Dan Middlebrook of Pensacola, FL; mother, Mary Mabry and husband, Ray, of Whitney; two sons, James Cross Middlebrook and Andrew Mills-Middlebrook both of Whitney; brother, Joseph Chance Mabry of Whitney; sister, Carri Anderson and husband, Lonzell, of Converse; niece, Kayla Anderson; two nephews, Kobe and Kendrick Anderson; and numerous cousins and extended family.
