Maurine Burkhaulter

Maurine E. Burkhaulter, 82, of Hillsboro died Monday, January 15, 2007, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Maurine was born July 1, 1924 in Whitney, Texas the daughter of James Wilburn and Alma Thetus McNeeley Burnett. She grew up and attended schools in Prairie Valley, Liberty Hill and Delmar. After graduating, she attended Southern Vocational Bible School. On May 9, 1942 she married Ural McCree Burkhaulter. They lived all over Texas before retiring to Hillsboro. She was a member of First United Pentecostal Church in Hillsboro. Preceding her in death were her parents. Survivors include her husband, Ural McCree Burkhaulter of Hillsboro; sons, Kenneth Wayne Burkhaulter and wife, Jeanette, of Alvarado, Chester Dean Burkhaulter and wife, Barbara, of Abilene, and Glenn Dale Burkhaulter of Wichita Falls; sisters, Alma Hickox, Jeanette Walker, and Inita Mitchell and husband, Billy; brother, Orval Burnett; and grandchildren, Marla J. Burkhaulter, Justine K. Burkhaulter, Crystal L. Burkhaulter, and Makayla L. Burkhaulter.
