Mayse Bruton

Mr. Mayse Bruton, 94, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, July 6, 2005, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Mayse was born November 23, 1910 in Malone, Texas the son of Joe Jarrel and Mary Josephine Morgan Bruton. On May 9, 1930 he married Thelma Aline Hammock in Hillsboro. Since 1979 he had resided in Hillsboro. He farmed, raised registered cattle and registered quarter horses. He retired from C & H Trucking Co. in Dallas as shop foreman. Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Woodrow Bruton; and two sisters, Vela Bruton and Esther Havemann. He was a member of College Hill Church of Christ in Hillsboro. Survivors include his wife, Aline H. Bruton of Hillsboro; two sisters, Ida Fox of Kent, Washington and Lola Truly of Kerrville, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
