Mcrae Sullivan

McRae Sullivan, 80, of Covington passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home in Whitney. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, 2018, at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro.

Born September 5, 1938 in Mt. Olive, MS, he was the son of Andrew Jackson and Lucille (Clark) Sullivan. He was a graduate of Mize High School, Jones Jr. College, and attended Mississippi State University. During his working career, McRae was employed at IBM in Jackson, MS, Fairbanks Scales in Dallas, and Farmers Insurance in Hurst. Following his retirement, he was called as a pastor to Peoria Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Thomas Lee Sullivan and L. James Sullivan; and two sisters, LaWah Duckworth and Gustava Sanford.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Sheridan Sullivan; four children, Donna Sullivan Bridges and husband, Tom, of Hattiesburg, MS, Donald Sullivan and fiancé, Dody Broom, of Covington, Danny Sullivan and wife, Cynthia, of Longview, and Dennom Sullivan and wife, Jennifer, of Enid, OK; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
