Melba Gibson

Melba Rose (Beaux) Gibson, 75, of Whitney, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2014 after a long illness.

Melba was born on March 29, 1938, in Fort Worth, to Hollis R. and Helen J. Langley. Her husband of 36 years, Robert Gibson, preceded her in death in 2008 and her son, Terry L. Kelly also preceded her in death.

She is survived by her daughter, Desiree Wilson; grandson Brian Wilson; three great-grandchildren, Madison Wilson, Garrett Wilson and Trevon Wilson; two sisters, Holly Van Dorn of Corpus Christi and Debra Wooten of Whitney; nieces Terry Van Dorn and Kathy Pederson of Corpus Christi; nephew Shawn Wooten and wife, Christene of Whitney; and many more nieces and nephews.

She was an avid reader and a great lover of animals. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
