Merry was born December 20, 1950, in Cleburne to Jack Z. and Edna Faye (Wilson) Boyd.  She attended schools in Itasca.  During her high school years, Merry played basketball and was chosen football sweetheart in 1969.  Following her graduation from Itasca High School in 1969, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Peacock on July 28.

When she was younger, Merry did some traveling.  She flew to Alaska to visit her brother Zemmy’s family, where she explored and enjoyed the wildlife while there.  Later in years, she and Kenneth drove to Idaho to visit her dad, Jack.  Along the way, they did a lot of sight seeing and enjoyed the views.

Merry was a very sweet and loving wife, mother, Nana, and friend to many.  One of her favorite hobbies was sneaking money to her grandchildren.  She loved to cheer her grandkids on during their sporting events.  Her daughters were lucky enough to have a mother that enjoyed and loved spending as much time as possible with the grandkids.

In her spare time, Merry enjoyed reading and putting puzzles together.  She also enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers.  She was a past recipient of the Hillsboro yard of the month award.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Merry will always be loved and missed by many.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and in-laws, Woodrow and Lois Peacock.

Survivors include her loving husband of 51 years, Kenneth Peacock; daughters, Jennifer Zbranek and husband, Larry, and Heather Green and husband, Ricky; grandchildren, Josh Green and wife, Kassie, Dillon Green and wife, Hallie, Kylie Green, and Tyler Zbranek; great-grandchildren, Clay, Gracie, and Karly; lifelong chosen daughter, Jennifer Parks; brother, Zemmy Boyd and wife, Jan; sister, Myra Davenport and husband, David; brother, James Boyd and wife, Sharon; brother-in-law, Melvin Peacock and wife, Janell; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
