Micheal "Mike Richie" Wooten I

Richie was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Micheal D. and Debra D.(Langley) Wooten. The family moved to Whitney during his teenage years. He was an avid outdoorsman, very close with nature. A lover of all animals and creatures, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. His hobbies included reading, drawing, collecting antiques, and listening to music. Richie was very devoted to his family and would do anything for them.

A dedicated craftsman, he worked as a carpenter and loved working with his hands and building things. He was a member of Fort Graham Baptist Church where he had helped work on the church and maintain it through the years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hollis and Helen Langley of Corpus Christi, Dick Wooten and Armead Gordon.

Survivors include his parents, Mike and Debra Wooten of Whitney; brother, Cristian Shawn Wooten and wife, Christina of Troy, Ohio; sister, Courtney Wooten and husband, Stephen Scates of Whitney; 8 nieces and nephews, Savannah and Stephen Colton Scates of Whitney and Allena Marie, Tristian, Mason, Dillon, Dalton, and Devin Wooten of Troy, Ohio; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Arrangements are under the direction of Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, 201 North Bosque, Whitney, Texas.
