Mickey Chuck Spicer, 83, of Whitney, Texas passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1941, in Crane, Texas, to Thad and Ovia Spicer. Mickey graduated from McCamey High School before joining the United States Air Force. In the Air Force he trained to be an airplane mechanic. After discharge from the Air Force, he continued this occupation working for American Airlines until he retired. In retirement Mickey stayed busy buying, selling and renovating properties. He also enjoyed helping with the annual auction at the Fosters Home for Children in Stephenville.
He was a trader by nature and was always buying, selling or trading something. God and family were extremely important to him. Mickey had an outgoing personality and enjoyed serving others. He never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a hand where needed. Though he will be greatly missed, he leaves a legacy of love, kindness and generosity.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Thad and Ovia Spicer; first wife, Linda Spicer; wife, Virginia Spicer; sisters, Rosemary Huffman, Sherry Henry, Gaynell Hopkins, and Doris Graham, brothers; Randy, Buddy, and Mike Spicer.
He is survived by his children, Shawn Spicer and wife Stacy, Dawn Wallace and husband Chuck; three grandchildren, Garrett Sharp and wife Chayanne, Caleb Sharp, and Bryson Sharp; great grandchild, Barret Sharp; sisters, Candy Grider, Perk Moore, and Frankie Horton; and brother, Charles Spicer.
Our thanks and gratitude go out to Hilltop Park Care Center and Beyond Hospice in Weatherford, Texas for their care and compassion.
There will be a memorial service at a later date at the Whitney Church of Christ to celebrate Mickey's life with friends and family.
Donations may be made in his honor to Foster's Home For Children, 1779 N Graham Street, Stephenville, TX 76401.
