Miguel Marentes

Miguel Angel Marentes, 29, of Hillsboro was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 25, 2024. Graveside services will take place at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Prairie Valley Cemetery in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

He was born October 15, 1995, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Miguel was a loving and jubilant spirit who always brightened the days of the people around him. He was a caring son, brother, uncle, friend and worker. Miguel always made friends and family around him feel happy and loved and he was always there for people close to his heart, from a conversation to helping others with any task no matter the circumstance. He made a huge impact in his short time here on earth with anyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with him.

Miguel is preceded by his great-uncle, Raymond Rocha; his two brothers, Aurelio Rocha and Joe Rocha; his grandparents, Maria Cruz Delgado Salas and Felix Marentes Prado; and his great-grandmother, Lucile Villareal Rocha. He leaves behind his father, Roberto Marentes Delgado and his wife, Victoria Marentes Delgado; his mother, Candy Smith and her husband, Randall Smith; siblings, Robert Edwards, Victor Marentes, Monica Marentes; nieces and nephews, Kaydence, Avery Jr., Keilani, Kaylee and Kailena; step siblings, Jessica Cabriales, Jacob Cabriales, Cheyanne Cabriales, and Sadie Yellico.

So, we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not home with the Lord. For we live by believing and not by seeing. 2 Corinthains 5:6-7
