Mildred F. True, 99, of Hillsboro died January 3, 2009, at her residence. Mildred was born December 27, 1909 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of Harvey and Emma Cloud Matthews. She married Bennie True on July 13, 1937 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 1997. Mildred was an active member of Brookhollow Christian Church in Abilene, where she and her family lived for 34 years before moving to Hillsboro in 1995. She taught Sunday school and worked with missions. After moving to Hillsboro in 1995 she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church women's morning group. She loved family and loved traveling. She was a member of Good Sam's Travel group in Abilene. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro, and Eastern Star in Abilene. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Billie Knowles and one brother, Samuel Matthews. Survivors include two daughters, Norma Kidwell of Hillsboro and Marsha Womack of Dallas; sister, Naomi Huckabay of Eastland; grandchildren, Mark Kidwell of New York City, Melissa Teague and husband, Dr. Chris Teague of Hillsboro, David Womack of Denver, Co., Jill Gilbert and husband, Michael of Houston, and Ann Catherine Womack of Dallas; great-grandchildren, Will Teague and Bryn Teague of Hillsboro, and Andrew Gilbert, Adam Gilbert and Hunter Gilbert of Houston; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
