Modena Spindler

Modena Mac Pilgrim Spindler, 85 of Houston and formerly of Whitney passed away in Houston on June 18, 2005. Modena was the daughter of Oscar Pickney and Annie Malinda Hall Pilgrim. She grew up in Aquilla and lived in Houston, Whitney and Temple during her life. On September 4, 1948, she married Alfred George Spindler and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1988. Modena was a homemaker and a member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple, Texas. Preceding her in death were her parents; and thirteen brothers and sisters. Survivors include her brother, Woodrow Pilgrim and wife, Hazel of Hillsboro; several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214-0800.
