Monica DeAnn Wilson, 47, of Dallas passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 at her residence in Dallas. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015, at Salem Irene Cemetery near Irene with Rev. Jim Brown of First Presbyterian Church in Milford officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.
Born February 6, 1968 in Fort Worth, Monica was the daughter of Harvey O’Neal and Barbara Ann (Finch) Wilson. A graduate of Itasca High School, she went on to receive her Bachelors degree from Tarleton State University in 1990. After receiving her Masters degree from Texas Women’s University, Monica stayed in the metroplex and was most recently a school counselor for Dallas ISD.
Survivors include her partner, Gretchen Scribner of Dallas; parents, Harvey and Barbara Wilson of Itasca; brother, Richard Wilson and wife, Melissa, of Whitney; five nieces and nephews, Clint Wilson, Jacey Wilson, Alicia Gilcrist and husband, Mike, Sarah Evans, and Bryant Wilson; and a great-nephew, Tucker Gilcrist.
