Monroe Loosier

Monroe Loosier, Jr. passed away at 3 a.m. Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Hill Regional Hospital. Monroe entered the hospital April 13 for cancer surgery. Monroe was born November 19, 1956 in Waxahachie, Texas, where he attended elementary school. He also attended school in Hillsboro. Monroe was employed by Russell Furniture Company in Hillsboro for the past 15 years. He lived in Whitney and Hillsboro most of his life. He leaves behind a son, Matthew Loosier 2 years old; two step-daughters, Megan and Melissa Gill and his wife, Tina Gill; a mother, Hazel Loosier of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Hazel Louise Tucker of Dallas and Nancy Gail Loosier of Hillsboro; 3 nieces and 4 nephews; and many friends. He will be sorely missed. Monroe always had a smile an a joke for everyone. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2005, at Covenant Baptist Church in Hillsboro with Rev. W. L. Walker officiating. Memorials may be made to the Monroe Loosier Cancer Fund c/o Citizens National Bank.
