Mozie Jean Goodman, 87, of Hillsboro died Monday, March 3, 2008, at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Mozie was born December 2, 1920 in Hill County, Texas the daughter of John William and Beulah Velma Atwood Bryan. She lived in Hill and McLennan counties all of her life. In 1939 she graduated from Axtell High School. On April 11, 1942 she married Roy Willis Goodman in Hill County. After the war, she and her husband settled in Hillsboro where they ran Goodman Radio & TV on the square for nearly 30 years. A very active member of Line Street United Methodist, she made crafts for the Lords Acre and helped with food for the needy. She was also very involved in the Easter Seal Society and Hill County Therapy Center as long as she was able. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband on August 7, 1999; sister, Kelly Ruth Goodwin; and granddaughter, Carla Jean Rubenkoenig. Survivors include her children, Joseph Edward Goodman and wife, Marilyn Francis, of Dallas and Patsy Jeanette Rubenkoenig and husband, Don, of Yantis, TX; a sister, Katheryn Golden and husband, John, of Greenbrook, NJ; three grandchildren, Dena Gayle Holbrook and husband, Brett, of Aledo, John Edric Goodman and wife, Amy, of Crawford, and Jeremy Edward Goodman of Waco; six great-grandchildren, Brittani Lauren Watkins, Lillian Elizabeth Goodman, and Hailee, Michael, Marissa, and Kylee Holbrook; and three nephews.
