Mrs. Marcus Dollar

Mrs. Marcus Jewel Dollar, 98, of Cleburne died Monday, September 11, 2006, at Emery J. Lilge Hospice in Fort Worth. Jewel was born April 1, 1908 in Grandview, Texas the daughter of William and May Dyer Howard. She attended school in Hillsboro. On May 17, 1924 she married Marcus Dollar in Hillsboro and he preceded her in death on April 23, 1990. For 65 years she was a resident of Hillsboro and since 1981 had been a resident of Cleburne. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Cleburne. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, William Harold Howard. Survivors include her children, Billy M. Dollar and wife, Dorothy S., of Arlington, Jean Triplett of Cleburne, and Bobbie Matthews of Burleson; eight grandchildren, Dennis Dollar of Arlington, Steve Dollar and wife, Bridgett, of Fort Worth, Ray Triplett and wife, Ellen, of Granbury, Denise Hutchins and husband, Gil, of Hewitt, Jill Ford and husband, Phil, of Mansfield, Wendy Ford and husband, Mark, of Arlington, Pat Jacocks and husband, Ken, of Crowley, and Pam Blake and husband, Skip, of Colleyville; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
