Myrtle Leonard

Myrtle Obear Leonard, 97, of Whitney, Texas died early in the morning on February 27, 2012. She was born to Roy Montgomery Dudley and Eleanor Gilham Obear in Beverly, Massachusetts. She was married to Kenneth C. Leonard for 63 years and they retired to Titusville, Florida in 1978. Myrtle was active in the Congregational Church of Marlborough, MA and the Presbyterian Church of Titusville, FL before moving to Texas in 2004.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Dudley of Essex, MA.

Survivors include her sister, June Queijo of Sherborn, MA., three daughters, Louise Watling of Whitney, Texas, Lois Gray and husband, Donald of Sterling, MA, Diana Beck and husband, Ed of Corinth, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Bridgeway Hospice staff for their loving care.

Myrtle’s last journey will be to Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville, Florida to rest with her husband.
